The integration of Collabora Online into the VIS-Suite enables synchronous, collaborative file editing across all application interfaces: VIS-SmartClient, VIS-WebClient and VIS-Go!. When a user selects a file within the VIS-Suite that can be edited via Collabora Online, it is first displayed in the content area. A button allows the user to switch to edit mode and make changes to the file. If another user is already in edit mode or begins editing later, this is displayed in the integrated Collabora Online. File changes are saved automatically, manually, or by exiting edit mode. The principle of file versioning due to a change of editor also applies when editing with Collabora Online in the VIS-Suite.
