To ensure total digital sovereignty and data security, the Austrian Armed Forces (ÖBH) launched a landmark five-year project to migrate over 16,000 users from Microsoft Office to the open-source LibreOffice ecosystem. Seeking to eliminate dependencies on external cloud providers and keep confidential data within their own premises, the ÖBH required a partner capable of delivering both enterprise-grade stability and advanced mobile collaboration.
Through the main contractor CIB Solutions GmbH, Collabora Productivity was selected to provide the critical infrastructure for this transition. Collabora delivered a tailored version of LibreOffice and the secure Collabora Office for Mobile, empowering the ÖBH with a scalable, interoperable platform for real-time operational planning and document editing across all devices.
